🔒 The short version: GlycoMeal is a meal-planning tool, not medical advice. Premium subscriptions can be cancelled anytime with no questions asked, and you keep access until the end of your current billing period. Payments are processed securely by Paddle, our Merchant of Record.

1. Who We Are

GlycoMeal is a diabetes-friendly meal planning web application operated by timshealthtips.com. In these Terms of Service, "GlycoMeal", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the operators of glycomeal.com and timshealthtips.com, and "you" refers to anyone who registers for or uses GlycoMeal.

GlycoMeal is accessible at glycomeal.com. Our parent health information platform is timshealthtips.com, which publishes articles and tools covering diabetes, hypertension, nutrition, exercise and healthy ageing for adults.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By registering for, accessing, or using GlycoMeal in any way — including the free tier, the 7-day Premium trial, or a paid Premium subscription — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not register for or use GlycoMeal.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to register for a GlycoMeal account.

3. The Service We Provide

GlycoMeal is a web-based meal planning application that helps users plan meals using Glycemic Load as a guide, browse a recipe library, and (for Premium subscribers) build a full weekly meal plan with an automatically generated shopping list.

GlycoMeal is provided on a "free" tier and a paid "Premium" tier:

We may add, change, or remove features of GlycoMeal at any time, including features available on the free tier, in order to improve, maintain, or sustain the service.

4. Accounts and Registration

To use GlycoMeal, you provide your first name and email address through our registration form. You are responsible for providing accurate information and for keeping your access to GlycoMeal secure.

You agree to use a genuine email address that you control, since this is how we communicate important information about your account, your trial, and your subscription.

5. Subscriptions, Billing and Cancellation

GlycoMeal Premium is offered on a recurring subscription basis, billed either monthly or annually depending on the plan you choose at sign-up. Current pricing is shown on our pricing page.

Payments are processed by Paddle.com, who acts as Merchant of Record for all Premium subscriptions — meaning Paddle is the seller of record for tax purposes, and your purchase is also subject to Paddle's own Buyer Terms and Conditions. We do not receive or store your card details — these are held securely by Paddle under their own terms and privacy policy.

Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel your Premium subscription at any time, with no questions asked and no hidden fees. When you cancel, you will continue to have Premium access until the end of your current billing period, after which your account will revert to the free tier.

Refunds

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on new Premium subscriptions. If you are not satisfied within the first 7 days of your first paid subscription, contact us at the email address in Section 14 and we will issue a full refund.

Outside of this 7-day window, payments already made are generally non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.

Price changes

We may change our Premium pricing from time to time. If we do, we will give existing subscribers reasonable advance notice before any price change takes effect on their next billing cycle.

6. Free Trial

From time to time, GlycoMeal may offer a free trial of certain Premium features (such as the Weekly Planner and Shopping List Generator) to free-tier users, typically for a period of 7 days from first use of those features.

The free trial does not require payment or card details to begin. At the end of the trial period, access to the trialled features ends and your account reverts to the standard free tier, unless you choose to subscribe to Premium.

We reserve the right to modify, limit, or discontinue the free trial offer at any time.

7. Medical Disclaimer

⚠️ GlycoMeal is a meal-planning and nutrition information tool. It is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for professional medical care.

GlycoMeal is designed primarily to support Type 2 diabetes and prediabetes management through dietary planning. Nothing in GlycoMeal — including recipe content, nutrition data, Glycemic Load or Glycemic Index figures, or any planning tools — constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always consult your doctor, dietitian, or diabetes care team before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have Type 1 diabetes, are pregnant, are managing any other medical condition, or are taking medication that affects blood sugar.

You are solely responsible for decisions you make about your own diet and health, including any reliance on information provided through GlycoMeal.

8. Acceptable Use

When using GlycoMeal, you agree not to:

9. Intellectual Property

All content provided through GlycoMeal — including recipes, nutrition data compilations, the GlycoMeal name and logo, app design, and underlying software — is owned by or licensed to GlycoMeal and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use GlycoMeal for your own personal, non-commercial meal planning purposes. This licence ends automatically if your account is terminated or if you breach these terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

GlycoMeal is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy of nutritional information.

While we take care to verify the nutrition and Glycemic Load data in our recipe library, we cannot guarantee it is free of error, and individual nutritional needs vary. We are not liable for any health outcome, dietary decision, or other loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, GlycoMeal.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of GlycoMeal is limited to the amount you paid us in Premium subscription fees in the 12 months before the claim arose.

11. Termination

You may stop using GlycoMeal, and cancel your Premium subscription, at any time as described in Section 5.

We may suspend or terminate your access to GlycoMeal if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. Where reasonably possible, we will give you advance notice before doing so.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our service, technology, or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we will notify registered users by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Your continued use of GlycoMeal after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Barbados, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of GlycoMeal will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Barbados, except where applicable consumer protection law in your own country grants you additional rights that cannot be waived.
